06.26.05 - Litter
Good Morning all, This has been an issue for me for a while. It really bothers me that people litter. I think it shows a great lack of repect for the environment (I'm no tree hugger, but I love nature) and for other people. I usually get up and go kayaking every morning. It just amazes me how many fishermen/women just throw their empty coffe cups, beer cans, twinkeis, etc all over the ground. So, i usually pick their garbage up, and carry it the amazingly long distance of across the street, and throw it in the dumpster. I'm usually so exhausted by the strenuous task, that i must go home and take a nap. During a rather slow day at work on Friday, I made a sign that I put up this morning along with the other NO LITTERING sign that is already there. I wonder what the result will be. My guess is that some clown will rip the sign down and not throw it in the garbage.

You go Phil! Unfortunately, I think you are right about them taking it down but it's good you tried...getting it out of your system is good. It's like writing letters but never mailing them. It's just theraputic. It amazes me how little regard people have for their fellow human. And it defies logic....aw...don't get me started on logic. :)

Littering and pollution bother me alot, too.
I live in an area that is heavily polluted by the petrochemical industry. If the wind is coming from a certain direction, you can smell the poison in the air. It's horrible.
