  • Yuck!

    And, plenty of time.

  • The day started out great. Up at 5:30, kayaking by 6 am. I did 2 miles, then came home and swam for 20 minutes or so. I'm not sure how the Erbitux will affect me so I want to enjoy these next days a lot before chemo starts

  • We're thinking of you. I hope the chemo and the Erbitux don't make you feel too sick.

I had to do an interferon treatment twice a week for six months a couple of years ago and it made me feel pretty bad.

Now don't they have drugs that help with the weakness associated with chemo?

  • Hey Paula, I never got too tried from all of the chemo I've taken (24 rounds of it so far). I was able to kayak for 81 consecutive days last spring/summer while on chemo. My concern is more of the 'bowel issues' and the Erbitux is supposed to give people MAJOR PIZZA FACE! Christ, puberty again????? And the weird thing is, the more pimples you get it seems, the more effective the drug is. What did you do interferon for if you don't mind my asking. Of course, you dodn't have to tell me that, just curious

  • Yikes!, I'm looking up the price of Erbitux and it seems to be going for around $12,000 per month. I need 2 months of it. Right now, I'm playing the Insurance Game with my carrier. It's strange because it IS an approved drug for colon cancer, so why the problem???? Anyway, I've got more garbage to clean ;-)

  • Are you serious? $12,000 a month? That's outrageous.

  • I kid you not. That was the last information I was able to find. I have to meet with the financial people over at SK this week. Most likely, insurance will cover it but you never know, they seem to give this drug a hard time.

  • LoL.

Wonder just how many bloggers out there have posted pics like these this summer?

[on a side note: what does this phenom suggested about a culture saturated with photographic possibilities?]
