10.24.05 Bowling
So we went bowling yesterday. It's not something we do very often, but the past year or so we have gone a few times. I was always intimidated by the scoring aspect of the game. I really never quite learned how to keep score, but with today's technology, even a moron like me can play. Everything is done by the computer, so as long as you have an 11 year old with you, you can have him program it for you. I won't give you a frame by frame rundown, but I did wind up kicking everyone's ass with a 143. Griffin, our 5 yr old came in second with a solid 104. Dana broke 80 and kept moving into the other people's lane after she threw the ball. She was applying 'English' to the ball with her body language. There is a link on the left side named Dana Bowling and one called Grif Bowling that has some video. Enjoy....

I LOVE bowling...and anyone that comes around me eventually gets converted...the first time I suggested it to my current beau, he nearly laughed at me...a month later he owned a ball, a bag, and his own shoes...I even caught him watching it on TV!
we are actually having a bowling party for my daughters b-day this weekend...yay!

I'm so with Dana. I try to take pride in the fact that I can't bowl.

I love drinking. Wait, bowling. Last time we went, it was 8 of us and we had a pitcher or 2 each. Eventually, it became a contest to see who (amongst the men) could low-level loft the ball the furthest down the lane before it hit. I did a personal best of 103. The highest score was our bar tab...

Sounds like fun, Phil. 143, awesome. We only bowl about once a year, but we all enjoy it and should do it more often.

Bowling really is kind of fun. I could see myself going every week. I used to think it was a little dorky (yea, like I'm NOT a dork???)
It's probably a good thing that I am not allowed to drink, being drunk and hurling a 14 pound ball around would not be a good thing. Did I mention that I bowl my IQ?
I'm surprised I broke 100...
