New Juicer

Sorry about the last post, Kat pointed out that it was a rerun. Well I got my new free juicer the other day. It's great! I've been juicing for about 6 weeks and it's really great. Not only am I getting my 5 or so servings of fruits and veggies a day, it gets absorbed into my system in about 30 minutes, it's been helping a lot with the side effects form the other issues I deal with so afteralmost 2 years, I've figured something major out.

  • Nothing wrong with re-runs, Phil. It's interesting to see whether you get the same or different answers. :-)

    I should get myself a juicer.

  • I was just about to say the same thing---definitely nothing wrong with re-runs. I just recycled a post from July on my blog today.

    How's the juicer coming along? Liking it?

  • Phil, why is the juicer free? Did I miss a meeting?

  • I'm fairly new to Blog world, but I'm aware that most of the people reading my blog today didn't get to see any of my early posts, some of which were (I thought) were pretty good. So, re-runs or revisions are actually a pretty good idea. The one you did should probably be done a few times a year, just to see what new things folks will come up with.

  • I have been through four Hamilton Beach Juicers and am working through a Juice Man Jr. Love that juice, though when I retired I had been drinking so much carrot juice that all my collegues thought I was using a rub-on external tanning solution (It really tinges your skin orange)

  • If enlightenment is just a juicer away, I've been a fool for eating the fruit!

  • Yeah, Phil, the juicer will save your life & make you look & feel younger!!! ;) I don't look 40 do I?! I've been juicing it up for long time. Wheatgrass juice is the best. I love to try different things like beet & carrot & apple...

  • The juice is great, I do drink the pulp, I can't see the point of straining it. My SIL has eaten so many carrots that her hands are orange (see needs glasses now to read so there goes that theory out the window).
    3score, the juicing is great. Wow, you're been tough on juicers but the Hamilton Beaches are not the Hummer of the juicing world.
    Chloe, eating fruit is good, just don't eat the "forbidden fruit".
    Boo - miss you too {{{Hugs}}}
    Ceri - you look rather pixie-ish. I've seen your other pictures and juicing is good for the body, you're proof of that.
    I do mix greens and fruits and try to by organic from our local farm. I've never had wheatgrass, I hear that's like the moonshine of the juicing world.

  • About five years ago, my brother gave me a juicer. I suspected that it was a re-gift and out of anger, I re-gifted it to someone else. Goodwill, I think.

    Let me tell you, I really regret that!

  • Phil, the Hamilton Beach Juicers don't wear out, the blades get dull enough that it takes a long time to juice, and I have found that it is cheaper to get a new one than to get a new blade. (Might not still be true, it has been awhile.)
