Oh man, I love stained glass. Must be my years as an altar boy. Are those pieces incorporated into your home? They're excellent and I hope you're back to working with them again soon.
Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. It's been a while since I made anything like these. I kind of have to watch the glass, it's sharp and my fingers cut easily lately. Zudi, unfortunately I don't have any of these pieces in our house. I gave most all of them away as gifts. I love the look of stained glass though. I have some ideas of what I want to do. One thing is to make a lamp someday. Michiel, welcome to my blog. the top one was the biggest and most advanced one I made. It is sitting in the top of a building in New Jersey. I made it for my landlord at the time and I got some money off of the rent. I need to take a picture of it in the building so you can get an idea of the big picture. I had taken a class at a local night school and that got me started. There are two main ways to do the glass. One is to wrap each piece in foil and solder them together. The other is to use channeled lead (like many church windows are done) and solder the joints. The channeled lead is harder but is better for big panels. It's a rewarding craft. I also liked doing the lino block prints. Neither design was original but they were fun to do too. I liked the silk screening too. I get looks/compliments on tehZappa t-shirt. I just wanted to share another side of me with all of you. What talents do you folks have?
I’m not that creative at the moment, but I used to draw, paint, design jewellery, design and make my own clothes and write. I always wanted to learn how to make stained glass objects, maybe I should go to a workshop one day…..you really inspired me :)
What talents do you folks have? >>> I can make any computer do what I want. You'd think this isn't much of a talent but you should see my corporate salary ;)

That is definitely a skill I would like to acquire. Yours are great, the top one seems most advanced.
I found some howtos/tutorials on the web, but any advice is welcome :)
