Dribs and Drabs
So I was in NYC yesterday evening for some medical stuff. Afterwards I hooked up with my brother Larry who lives there and we caught a bite to eat (and a few brews - don't tell) We then took a walk over to the Hudson River. The waterfront by 72 street is relly beautiful. Manhattan is so much nicer since Gullianni and Bloomberg have been in office. Anyway, after that we were walking back to my car and who comes out of her dentists office...Yoko.
We didn't make a scene because we wanted to respect her privacy but it was pretty cool to see her. The Dakota is at the end of the street where my brother lives so she can be seen in the neighborhood although she doesn't just stroll around. Last night after I got home, Griffin (age 6) asked me to help him write a note for my wife. It read "Mommy, Please put my wallet in my pants pocket".
Today Dana is going to run an errand or two so I suggested to her to dropGrif off so she will be able to better take care of business. I then realized that Grif knows about the store at work that has all sorts of candy so he didn't want to hear from me that I had no money.
He's too much...

Here he is at work with a reeses peanut butter cup on his head

Ahh, a little boy after my own heart..or should I say stomach? I am a fellow candy lover.
How cool to see Yoko! I think I probably would have just stood still and stared instead of being cool like you and your brother :)
I once saw Michael Jordan in the Riverchase Galleria years ago when he played for the Birmingham Barons. What brilliant thing did I say?
"Wow, hey, you're Michael Jordan"!
To which he sweetly smiled and said hello.
I know...I'm a goofball ;)

I usually clam up. Many years ago, my brother and I were at the US Open Tennis Finals. While we were waiting for those to start, we went to the smaller stadium and grabbed any old seats to see the juniors play. Then, "The Donald" (as in Trump) strolls down with Marla Maples. It was very long ago indeed. She sits right next to me with Donald on her left, me on her right and my brother on my right. Larry leans over me and starts talking to her. All I kept thinging was "my leg is touching Marla Maples leg".
Talk about a goofball ;-)
and yes, I did wash my leg years ago

You're Griffin has a head on his shoulders! Gonna keep you on your toes, isn't he? Hey, I've got two of them. I learned long ago to listen carefully, lol.

chip off the ol' block he is! I'm like you w/celebs. I walked right by Martin Sheen in L.A. like he was anybody else, while they went to get a pic with him. I just get too embarrassed and feel I am invading their space, although they probably are flattered!

Hahaha..Did you drool on Marla Maples' leg? Now, that would have been a funny sight!
You know, she could have been thinking "my leg is touching that hot man's leg" :) You never know..

hahah cute pic...i used to put treats on my dog's head. he would sit there and salivate, waiting for me to say "okay".
kids aren't so easy to coerce though...i'm guessing he had some sort of sneaky motive for doing this. or maybe he's just a ham...

Thanks for all of the Grif comments.
Kathi, I try to listen, that's great advice.
JLee, Inside I'm all a titter (can I say that?)
Kayla, I think Marla was sizing up my wallet at best.
Paula, spring has sprung ;-)
Cherish, I was tempted to ask but I'm sure she's sick of it. I don't blame her anymore (I'm sure that makes her day)
Dan, welcome. Any friend of JLee's is a friend of mine (well, mostly all of her friends) The Grif is a ham (on wry). He actually is very thoughtful too. He brought some Skittles for his big brother. I know they have a deal worked out
