What Would You Do?

I was doing a little yardwork today, and while I was digging I came across this bracelet. I remember these from high school in the early 1970s. They were for POWs lost during the Vietnam War. I don't remember how exactly you got one of these, but the woman who lives next door to us did have one and when I found this, I showed it to her.I did a search on Richard Fitts and came up with an article. His remains were returned in 1990. I had an idea where I would try to contact a local newspaper and see if there were any surviving members of this guys family and maybe they might want to have this bracelet. I did show that lady next door what I found and she thinks it's a great idea to see if the family wants it back.
What would you do?

go to your local tv station's website and email a reporter with the info...they will do a story on it, or pass it to someone who would want to. That's my idea! (or just call them)

I'm not sure what I'd do...my first impulse would be like yours, to return it to the family, but on second thought it might bring back bad memories for them. It's not as if it was an artifact that actually belonged to the man. Sorry, I'm too honest sometimes.
I remember those bracelets from when I was in Elementary school. Alot of my classmates wore them...You got them by sending cereal box tops back in to the cereal company, if I remember correctly.
Maybe I'll google that and see if I'm remembering correctly.

There is also a link list of how to return the bracelet to the family!

E Mail Robert Grandbois JR to make contact regarding the bracelet "

I wouldn’t use the media; maybe his relatives don’t want the publicity. I would use Paula’s method. “Your guy” is on there a couple of times :)
Oh Paula already told you :)
