Hello Out There
I switched to the Beta version of blogger. I'm not sure if I like it. Well, I pretty much like it but I don't fully understand the customization of the template yet. I'm sure there are Help topics but being a guy, I tend not to read them until I have to. I have not yet finished updating my cool Blogs links yet so if your name is NOT there, it will be shortly unless your link is no longer active. I know there is some issues with non-beta-bloggers and where they can or can not post so I will assume that may be why I've had no comments in two days (insecure, ME??? I doubt it)
On a side note, Jeff (the goldfish) died last night. To Griffin's delight we gave him the tradional burial at sea (a toilet flush). I said a few words about what a wonderful fish he was and how he had HERO written all over him. Now he's gone to the big septic system in the sky (actually in the ground). Cameras were not permitted.
On a Happier note, Dana sang a gig at a restaurant last night with a new pianist. It went well although she is nervous about trying to put together a new demo tape tomorrow with a guitarist friend of hers. She is entering into a Jazz Vocalist Competition that takes place in London and her demo has to be there by the end of the month. Also, next Sunday is Dana's 31st celebration of her 29th birthdayand a bunch of us are going to Tout Va Bien on 51st street in the city. Dana lived there for a while when we first dated. They have great food and unlike many French restaurants, they have large portions. Their Coq au vin is very tasty. One time, years ago, we were having dinner in there and Jason Robards was sitting a table away from us. So there you go. Anyway, that's my big post for today.

Oh, you switched! :) I can leave comments again….hooray!!
It’s not that difficult to customize the template. Just fool around with it a bit and you’ll get the hang of it. Tssk, if I can do it (and I am no expert), you most certainly can do it too
Sorry to read about Jeff…. Guess he is swimming with the big fishes now ;)

The burial at sea is hysterical...I can just picture you doing that! lol Congrats to Dana on the gig and her "29th birthday" I've had a few of those. Keep us posted on her Vocalist Competition. That is so exciting!!

Holy shit!
I saw Jason Robards in a restaurant in London when I was in my early twenties.
;-)
I hope Dana has a great B-day, and I hope she gets to go to London to compete.
xoxo

Hello "In There" Phil,
Boo to Blogger Beta!
My desktop will not allow me to comment on your blog due to the secure page lockout.
For the life of me I can't figure it out..has to be a problem in my software, but I remain clueless.
My laptop has no problem, but I don't keep it with me all the time.
So..if you don't hear from me as often, don't think it's because I don't want to comment!
At least Griffin was delighted with the burial at sea :-)
Perhaps we could hear an audio of Dana singing sometime??

This is puzzling with the secure and nonsecure stuff. I'm not totally ga-ga over the new blogger. The customization is limited. It does not support flash files. Speaking of flash , here's a News Flash. Joe the fish is dead too. It happened later in the day. I missed the burial at sea though.
What a way to go, I'm still for being cremated and spread out on My Lake

You certainly are getting the best out of the Beta system, Phil. I transferred to it last week and have had some steep learning curve experiences since then.
Well done!

Hi Tales, I did find some help using the Blogger help page. That showed me how to put a Flash movie in. I still have to figure out how to do the target="_blank" one.

Oooh, I'm too scared to go over to beta blogger and heard too many bad things about being unable to comment etc; it's already unstable enough!
Poor goldfish, that didn't last long, oh well! Glad a generic toilet flush was used :]
