Some Random Stuff

Here's some random photos from this past week. This first one is a hawk that I saw at the celery farm during a lunch time walk. It seems he just had lunch too, you could see the remnants of a squirrel that was his lunch in his chest.
The other photos are of a moonrise on the lake and of Jack (Grif) walking his stuffed pet doggie before bed so it could go pee pee. The dog also got into a fight with a ceramic cat that is in our front yard...

  • I like hawks. the red tails are protected down here.. you can't shoot one. My friend truvey hates em cos they'll eat his chickens. Plus they are sneaky. if a chicken goes under his mobile home (to hide from the hawk) the hawk will go under there too. Must be hungry!

    The video isn't that long Wildside, but on dialup I guess it's too large. The video was very similar to the still picture.

    I think the doggie won. The cat was one that none other than Nina had made for me many years ago.
    I still have it, she knew I was a cat guy.

    Hawks are very smart. I love raptors. I have a friend who is very involved with Eagle preservation. I'm planning on going up to check out some nests in teh next few weeks. The problem this year is that it isn't too cold so many Eagles are staying up by the St Lawrence River.
