  • Very nice guitar. How does it play?

  • It plays like a champ. The action is very great and the tone is nice and clean. I am thinking of getting a fret job for it and there is also a slight buzz from the pickup. I think it's a grounding issue because when I touch the pickup the buzzing stops. This was my brother's first electric but he stopped using it many years ago so I sort of took it over. He plays classical now.

  • It looks like the the pickup is a single coil type of pickup. These pickups are known for their "60 cycle hum".

Also, if that guitar is all original, I'd be inclined to leave it that way and retire it as a collectable.

  • Admit it. You're aroused by the guitar description.

  • Chrys, I don't know why people act like such jerks. I wish the shoe were on the other foot at times so they'd get a taste of it.
Cute avatar of the two of you

  • Thanks, dollface...hoping the "Grateful" Band is enjoying your usage of this guitar...and glad you're still here to do some playin'.;)

    Dollface? I know...hehehe.

Bubby's home with me today on spring break, and for whatever reason...we think it's funny to talk in 30 gangsta talk, kinda like Bugs Bunny.

    "You're a swell guy, see...with great gams. "

(Actually, I have no idea what your gams look like, I just thought it fit the 30s-talk gennnnnnre.)

    *mwwah*

As for shoe being on the other foot, I look at it like this...how much hatred do you have to have to do something like this chronically to somebody...I figure that must be torture enough to be that venomous and miserable.

    Peace be witcha,

    Chrys

  • "Swell guy" (real swollen...)
For the record...I do have nice gams.

I also think some people are just a-holes, plain and simple. They are clueless.

Enjoy your time with Bubby ;-)
