YOU'VE GOTTA LOVE DRUNK PEOPLE

A man and his wife were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push."Not a chance," says the husband, "it is 3:00 in the morning!" He slams the door and returns to bed.

"Who was that?" asked his wife."Just some drunken guy asking for a push," he answers."Did you help him?" she asks."No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning and it is pouring rain out there!"
"Well, you have a short memory," says his wife. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!"

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain. He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"

"Yes," comes back the answer."Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband."Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark."Where are you?" asks the husband.

"Over here on the swing," replied the drunk.

I just got this new toy the other day. It's 4 guitar effects pedals for $39.99. They are normally $15 a piece. It's fun to play with some effects. We also tried out a drummer the other night. He was good but there was a concern about his 420 status so it may not work out.

Let the Fun Begin

I just got this digital 8 track recorder. I want to try to make some music. It's very cool, you are able to record all sorts of different parts and build a song. I can play rhythm, then (try) to play some lead over it. I can add real drums or use the drum machine that I also picked up. I got both units used and saved some major $$$.












The other night Dylan and I were messing around with it and recorded that Kansas song "Carry on Wayward Son". Dylan knows that drum part pretty well but I don't know the guitar part that well at all. I have the basic part of it but I need to practice it more. Here it is if anyone would like to check it out. This, like my Christmas photo, is not the best of me but it's real and spontaneous.

A Bald Eagle

There has been a Bald Eagle hanging around the other lake by me and Grif and I were lucky enough to see it this morning. The photo doesn't do it justice. If you click on it there is a larger version.

I think he took the Bible too literally

Man cuts off, microwaves his own hand:

A man who believed he bore the "mark of the beast" used a circular saw to cut off one hand, then he cooked it in the microwave and called 911, authorities said.

The man, in his mid-20s, was calm when Kootenai County sheriff's deputies arrived Saturday in this northern Idaho town. He was in protective custody in the mental health unit of Kootenai Medical Center.

"It had been somewhat cooked by the time the deputy arrived," sheriff's Capt. Ben Wolfinger said. "He put a tourniquet on his arm before, so he didn't bleed to death. That kind of mental illness is just sad."

It was not immediately clear whether the man has a history of mental illness. Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Johnson would not say whether an attempt was made to reattach the hand, citing patient confidentiality.

The Book of Revelation in the New Testament contains a passage in which an angel is quoted as saying: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink the wine of God's fury."

The book of Matthew also contains the passage: "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."

Wolfinger said he didn't know which hand was amputated.
